The Humane Society of Hobart Receives Grant from Newly-Named, Petco Love

The Humane Society of Hobart announced this week a $35,000 grant investment from the newly named Petco Love to support their work to save animals in Northwest Indiana. The announcement said Petco Love is a nonprofit leading change for pets nationally by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since their founding in 1999 as the Petco Foundation, they’ve empowered organizations with $300 million invested to date in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. “Our local investments are only one component. This month, we will also launch the first of our national tools to empower all animal lovers to drive lifesaving change right alongside us,” said Susanne Kogut, President of Petco Love.
“The Humane Society of Hobart is on a mission to build and strengthen pet families and funding from Petco Love is vital to our capacity to continue to engage with our community, improve access to pet resources and services, and save the lives of homeless stray pets,” said Jennifer Webber, Executive Director. The Humane Society of Hobart was formed in 1954. For more information about The Humane Society of Hobart, visit and to learn more about Petco Love, visit .
