Over 100 people attended the 2nd Annual Bowling Fundraiser recently hosted by BMO Harris and Stardust Bowl that raised $7,388 for the Lake Area United Way.
The United Way reports that 63 businesses and individuals sponsored lanes and/or donated raffle prizes.
According to a press release, Lindsay Evorik, Weather Manager BMO Private Bank, Crown Point said the, “Lake Area United Way makes such an impact in the lives of so many in our communities. We want to our part to ensure their continued success.”
“I was really happy to see the total donation increase by nearly 20% for 2015,” said Rick Cioni, BMO Harris Market President, NWI and LAUW Board Member.
“We wanted to make this year’s event even more unique and successful than last year’s, which I think we accomplished. The evening provided everyone a chance to get out and network, while showing their support and having fun while they’re at it,” said Todd Bredar, vice president of Stardust Bowl and event coordinator. “We’re already looking ahead to planning next year’s event,” he added.
Aside from bowling, there were silent auctions, special raffles, line dancing and even a mini massage from a local spa.
