Indiana Dunes National Park invites residents to join a ranger for a beach-combing hike at Central Avenue Beach. Park officials say the hike will take place this Saturday, June 18th, from 8am until 9am. Participants can learn about the origins of the Great Lakes and the Indiana Dunes, and also scan the beach to find any interesting treasures that have washed up onto the shore. Those interested in the hike should meet at the Central Avenue Beach parking lot, one mile north of Central Avenue and U.S. Highway 12 in the Town of Pines. For more information, click here.
