A New Jersey man who had a stroke and was saved by his adopted dog is now home from a rehab facility. The man was home when he suffered a stroke last month and says Sadie, a six-year-old German Shepherd, came to his side and laid down next to him, licking his face to keep him alert. Sadie also helped drag him to his cell phone so he could call 911. That was only possible because he had just adopted her from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge animal shelter in Oakland, New Jersey, a few months earlier. The two were reunited outside the rehab facility this week.
