In Will County, Illinois, the Forest Preserve District says its annual Eagle Watch “will feature many ways to celebrate a species that was once on the verge of extinction but is now thriving.” The free event is 11 am to 3 pm this Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon. They also said staff at Four Rivers are actually hoping for frigid weather because those conditions will make it more likely to see more bald eagles. Here’s a link for more information.
