It’s the Season of Giving, and this year, NIPSCO and X-Rock 103.9 want to tell you more about St. Jude House and The Caring Place… local organizations assisting those who’ve experienced domestic violence.
Be with us on Tuesday, December 21st as X-Rock 103.9 presents our NIPSCO Season of Giving Radiothon, raising awareness and needed assistance for these important organizations.
As part of our Season of Giving campaign, NIPSCO has generously donated $5,000 to both St Jude House and The Caring Place, and you can also help this holiday season with financial support, and by providing needed items on their wish lists!
Last year St. Jude House in Crown Point served more than 500 adults and children, providing more than 10,000 nights of emergency shelter. Their 24-hour crisis line took thousands of calls and their non-residential group programming served hundreds more. St Jude House provides the essential basic needs like shelter, food and clothing to those escaping horrific violence with little more than the clothes on their back. They empower clients to leave behind a life of abuse with comprehensive and compassionate programming and services.
The Caring Place, Inc. provides inclusive service, shelter, and ongoing support for people experiencing domestic violence. Through advocacy, education, and awareness, The Caring Place empowers people to build supportive, respectful, compassionate relationships. The Caring Place is the only 24-hour crisis line and emergency shelter in Porter County.
