We’re joining NIPSCO once again this year for their Spreading the Warmth Coat Drive. Take any NEW winter coat donation (or other NEW winter clothing items, such as hats and gloves) to your Lake, Porter or LaPorte County Salvation Army location. We’ll also be spending the day December 16th talking to representatives from NIPSCO and the Salvation Army about the especially urgent need this season.
The need has always been there. The need for food, for shelter, for clothing – and for compassion. This year, the need happens to be greater. Adams Radio Cares is helping The Salvation Army Rescue Christmas for our neighbors in need. COVID-19 has hit our neighbors right here in Northwest Indiana especially hard. Many are facing hardship for the first time. Sudden job loss, inability to pay rent, mortgage and utility bills – it all leads to homelessness and hunger. The Salvation Army is there making sure people have food and shelter. They can do this because you give donations during the holiday season – the time when the Salvation Army receives the bulk of its yearly donations. Please help The Salvation Army help our neighbors. Make donations at the kettles, drop off coats during the NIPSCO Salvation Army Spreading the Warmth coat drive, volunteer to be a bell-ringer, add a kettle to your storefront, sign up to be an Angel Tree donor, or make a monthly gift of $25.
