Premiering Wednesday, April 18th, in movie theaters is “Chicago & Friends in Concert,” an all-star, guest-filled Decades Rock Live performance filmed over two nights last November at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. The two-and-a-half hour show finds the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band playing songs from throughout its 55-year recording career and joined by guests such as Robin Thicke, Chris Daughtry, Steve Vai, Robert Randolph, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and VoicePlay. The screening encores on April 21st; ticket and theater information can be found at chicagoandfriendsintheatres.com.
“Chicago & Friends in Concert” will eventually move to a streaming service and will be released as an album, though dates have not yet been determined.
The movie precedes Chicago‘s return to the road, kicking off May 15th in LaVista, Nebraska. Chicago begins a summer tour with Earth, Wind & Fire on July 10 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Dates can be found at chicagotheband.com.
