FEMA Announces Disaster Recovery Center in Lake County

In Lake County, FEMA announces a Disaster Recovery Center in Merrillville regarding severe storms that struck the Region and state March 31 and April 1, 2023. FEMA says individuals and businesses in Allen, Benton, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Johnson, Lake, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Sullivan, and White counties can visit any open center for help. The Lake County center on 83rd Avenue will be open April 27 through April 29 and again May 8 through May 10, 2023, where recovery specialists from FEMA, the state of Indiana and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available to help with FEMA applications, answer questions and provide referrals to resources. The deadline to apply for federal assistance is June 14th, 2023. Additional recovery centers will be opening soon in other impacted areas.
