A 16 year old boy was hospitalized after being hit by a semi truck Saturday morning on U.S. 30 in Valparaiso. The Times reports police discovered the boy, just before four in the morning, lying in the grassy median of U.S. 30, at Comeford Road. Published reports say the boy informed authorities he was riding his bike home from Walmart with friends and did not see the truck. Police say the minor had been drinking prior to the crash, and was transferred to a hospital in South Bend for numerous injuries.
