US 20 was closed down early this afternoon after a truck leaked 32-hundred gallons of hydrochloric acid at the Burns Harbor Pilot Truck stop. Porter County Sheriff's Sergeant Larry LaFlower says the incident was called in just before one this afternoon, resulting in the closure, but that the Burns Harbor Fire Department reopened the roadway around 1:30, after the incident was not deemed to be a threatening. No word yet on what caused the leak.
