According to published reports, items needed most include tooth paste and tooth brushes, shampoo, hand sanitizers. female products, hand lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, sponges, baby wipes, baby lotion, cotton swabs, work gloves, towels, trash bags, bottled water, diapers, wash cloths, bath soap, dishwasher soap, detergent, bleach and razors.
Other items being requested are blankets and pillows, dog food, cat food, kitty litter, leashes and collars, hand wipes, ear plugs, juice boxes, and non-perishable food items.
The Times reports items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and tomorrow at two sites in Porter County including the K-Mart in Chesterton on Indiana Boundary Rd. and at the Valparaiso VFW on Roosevelt Rd.
