Gary Police, Lake Co Crime Lab Investigate Homicide

Authorities say a 28-year-old Gary man became the victim of homicide Thursday. The Lake County Coroners office says Gerardo Mejia suffered a gunshot wound at his home in the 200 block of Gerry Street, and was pronounced dead shortly after 10 am at Methodist Northlake Campus in Gary. Gary Police and the Lake County Crime Lab are investigating.
