Two suspected burglars allegedly shot by a 67 year old homeowner Friday night remain hospitalized at last check. The LaPorte County Prosecutor's Office reports warrants were issued after a probable cause hearing today for the arrest of Ladell Elijah Hemsworth and Marshaun Wright, each for one-count of felony burglary. Authorities say both suspects were shot during the incident, and taken to South Bend Memorial, were Hemsworth had a bullet removed, but that a bullet remains lodged in the lung of Wright. The suspects were reportedly shot by the homeowner, Edward Flynn,who informed officers at the scene, on the one-hundred block of Pontiac in Pottawattomie Park, he was a retired Chicago police officer, and had shot both suspects. Police report they received a call of a burglary in progress, just before 8pm, and authorities discovered items stockpiled in the bedroom of the home to allegedly steal.
