From wet to snowy, road conditions vary across the Region this morning after a winter storm that continues to move across northern Indiana. Very strong winds are expected to continue  through this afternoon, with a few gusts to near 60 possible near lakefront areas along Lake Michigan.  Lakeshore Flood Warnings are also in effect; forecasters say winds will result in "large and battering waves" of 22 to 27 feet across southern Lake Michigan, with the largest waves locally along the Porter County shoreline.

Look out for tree and other debris in roadways.  We have a report from early this morning of a tree down blocking travel on eastbound US 20 near the Porter/LaPorte County line.
