Cline Extension Demolition Continues

Demolition work that started in May of this year continues on the Cline Avenue extension bridge in East Chicago. Indiana Department of Transportation Spokesman Matt Deitchley says the work should be complete by the end of this year. The bridge over the Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal was closed for safety reasons three years ago. Earlier this year, officials announced it would be replaced by a new toll bridge built with private funds.
