The second installment for Porter County property taxes is usually due on the 10th of November but this year taxpayers had a couple extra days, and those property taxes are due today, November 13, 2012, in Porter County. November 10 was a Saturday this year, and that was followed by the holiday, Veterans Day, being observed yesterday, Monday, November 12th.  Bucko says you can pay online at Porter County's website  www.porterco.org

In neighboring Lake County, officials say the fall installment of property taxes is also due today, November thirteenth. A news release from Lake County Treasurer John Petalas'  office says all the county's treasurers offices will be open until 7 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012, to accommodate last minute taxpayers. He says taxpayers also have the ability to pay online by clicking over to the County Treasurer's website from the Lake County government website  www.lakecountyin.org
