Due to the risk possible Salmonella contamination, Trader Joe's has voluntarily recalled its “Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter”. Katalin Coburn, Sunland's Vice President of Media Relations, who is the manufacturer of the peanut butter says the recall is limited. 29 cases in 18 states, including Illinois, have been reported, and Coburn says that the recall includes 76 different products, sold under several brand names at Trader Joe's, and several other supermarkets across the nation. This recall applies to products with a “best if used by date” between May 1st, 2013 and September 24th, 2013, and customers who have purchased the products are urged to discard them immediately.
