Over 400 traffic citations and nearly 600-warnings were issued over the weekend by Indiana troopers of the Lowell Post as part of a statewide effort to aggressively seek and arrest impaired drivers. Sgt. Ann Wojas, Public Information officer says the troopers made 38-impaired driving arrests and removed 23-suspended drivers from the roadway. Wojas says they also issued 18 citations for no seat belts and made 22 criminal arrests. Statewide 346 impaired drivers were arrested. Lowell District covers Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Starke and Pulaski Counties.
