Public school teachers in Chicago are on strike after failing to reach an agreement with the city's School Board Sunday night. The last time there was a teacher strike in Chicago was in 1987, a walkout that lasted 19 days. One-hundred-forty-four schools are open for about five hours today, and they will be providing breakfast and lunch to students. Charter schools will be in session.
