Porter County taxpayers – even those who've already received a tax sale notice in the mail – still have time to enter into a payment plan with the county treasurers office and keep the property off the list on tax sale day. Porter County Treasurer Mike Bucko says property owners have until September 20th to enter into an agreement with up to a 25-percent down payment and monthly payments until June 20, 2013.
After September 20th, Bucko says the down payment may be as much as fifty-percent. For more information call the Porter County Treasurers Office at 219-465-3470.
