DeMotte Man Airlifted to S Bend

Authorities say a 29-year-old DeMotte man was taken to a Michigan City hospital then airlifted to South Bend after crashing into the back of a car waiting to turn into Palko Distributing on US 20 just a couple miles west of Michigan City, then colliding with two other vehicles, one of them a semi, just before 7:30 Tuesday morning. Porter County Sheriffs Police say two other drivers were also injured. All lanes of the highway were closed for about two-hours.
