With mandatory retirement facing him when he turns 75 in 2016, Indiana Chief Justice Brent Dickson announced plans to step down as Chief Justice of Indiana later this year. Today, Governor Mike Pence praised Justice Dickson for his service saying, "Chief Justice Dickson has served our state well for the last two years as the head of our state’s highest court, and has brought his outstanding legal expertise and practical judgment to bear throughout his 28 years as a member of the court."
According to the Times, Justice Dickson will remain on the Indiana Supreme Court as Associate Justice.
