The Portage Parks Department is now accepting applications for seasonal employment. Positions include concessions, Lakefront and Riverwalk operations, softball and soccer field crews, facility and grounds maintenance, housekeeping, office/administration and summer camp counselors. The pay range is $7.50 to $10.00 per hour. For contracted positions, pay will be negotiated and a contract drawn up. Seasonal employment may extend from May 1st, 2014 to October 31st, 2014, depending on the position. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Drug screening may be required at the expense of the applicant. Applications will be available at Portage City Hall, Office of the Clerk Treasurer, 6070 Central Avenue or at the Park Department, Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Rd. Office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm.
