Indiana Republican US Senator Dan Coats says he wants to reduce red tape and eliminate unnecessary federal rules for Hoosier businesses.  Coats held a roundtable this morning with the Northwest Indiana Forum on his recently-introduced Sound Regulation Act,  which he says would help Indiana businesses focus on creating more jobs instead of more unnecessary paperwork. The bill would require every federal agency to engage in an extensive cost-benefit analysis to determine the actual cost, in dollars, of regulations under each agency’s jurisdiction.  After his opening comments, Senator Coats answered questions and listened to concerns of area manufacturers, including Sullair, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), ArcelorMittal and Albanese Candy Factory.  For more on Coats' Sound Regulation Act, click here: http://www.coats.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/-coats-introduces-bill-to-help-hoosier-job-creators    [Photo/Karl Berner]
