Pence Joins Opposition of Army National Guard Budget Cuts

Indiana Governor Mike Pence today joined 49 other governor's in expressing opposition to proposed cuts to the Army National Guard, which are expected to be included in the Department of Defense's fiscal year 2015 budget request. Governor Pence says in an effort to preserve the Army Guard's operational capabilities and strength, he along with the other governors, are requesting President Obama work with them to review and restructure the Army to meet current budget realities, but also utilize the Army Guard in a cost-effective manner that will serve the nation's security needs both at home and abroad.
