A man who broke into a business in the 300 block of South Franklin Street early this morning, near the Valparaiso Police Department, was arrested without incident and taken into custody. Valparaiso Police report an officer over heard an audible alarm at a business around 3:30am and, while investigating, found the rear door of Coolman Communities had a broken glass pane. Police report the officer located a male subject inside the building, later identified as 22 year old Jack Greenboam. Grenboam informed police he had thrown a brick through the window and entered the business but could not remember anything else because he was highly intoxicated.
The 22 year old man has been charged with burglary, criminal mischief and public intoxication. Police an estimated 300-dollars in damage was done to the business.
