Indiana State Police have identified the gunman who allegedly shot and killed two women at Martin's Super Market in Elkhart, on Wednesday night, before being shot and killed by police, as 22 year old Shawn Walter Blair, of Elkhart. Sgt. Trent Smith, of the Indiana State Police, says a motive has not yet been established and they have yet to make a final determination if there was truly any relationship between the shooter and the female subjects.
State Police have identified the victims as 20 year old Krystle Dikes and 44 year old Rachelle Godfread, both of Elkhart. Authorities say Dikes was the first to die and that Godfread is believed to have been a patron shopping at the store at the time of the shooting.
