More Than 13,000 Flights Cancelled More Than 13,000 Flights Cancelled Traffic in and out of airports and train stations from North Carolina to Boston have virtually shut down today, and may not be back in service until later this week. More than 10,000 flights have been cancelled as a result of Hurricane Sandy, according to FlightAware, effectivly shutting down commercial traffic along the East Coast.
